U13/14,Matt Bode Cup, Tiger League Presentations

Approximately 170 people attended our Development Squad wind up on Wednesday September 10th

Under 14:Layne Trembath summarised the Under 14 program of 4 matches against other SANFL Clubs as well as the Carnival in Mt Gambier and then was assisted by CEO Steve Moore with the presentation of trophies;

MVP: Job Colwell

Runner Up MVP: Finn Betterman and Joe Hosking

MVP 4th: Tynan Carney, Brad Potter

UNDER 13:Don Miranda and Dean James then discussed the Under 13’s along with the Matt Bode Cup and Interzone programs and assisted by John Hill gave out the following awards.

 

UNDER 13            MVP:  Beau McCreery

Runner Up MVP: Owen Woolford

Third MVP: Callum Park

Fourth MVP: Kristian Garin

MATT BODE CUP:             MVP Tyler Bishop

Runner up MVP MacKenzie Short

TIGER LEAGUE : Zone Manager Trevor Wortmeyer then spoke about the successful Tiger League season along with the results of the Lightning Carnival that concludes this program.

Westminster School’s winning group in the Year4/5’s received their medal from Senior Coach Nick Stevens followed by the Year 6/7 winners Glenelg Primary School.

The final award for the night was the Year 6/7 Tiger League Medal which saw Reid Patterson from Paringa Park win the medal with 23 votes from Brady Searle (Glenelg) with 11 votes.

2014 Under 15, Under 16 & Under 18 Best and Fairest

Approximately 125 players and families attended the Under 15/16/18 Best and Fairest on Sunday August 31st.

The Under 18 Count was held first with Liam Newton just holding off Damien Hill to win the Best and Fairest.

Guy Ridgway and Chris Burns summarised the season and presented trophies. Bryce Woolard led  with 3 rounds to go but did not play another match due to College football. Liam Newton polled well in rounds 15 and 17 to hold a 7 point lead with Damien Hill polling 17 in the last 2 rounds to finish 4 behind Liam.
