Glenelg Football Club invested $3.4m in developing both a function centre and upgraded membership facilities in 2002. Whilst trade has been sound, it has not been able to generate sufficient funds to enable the Club to reduce its overall debt. The subsequent interest payments are crippling placing the Club’s very future at risk.
The elimination of the outstanding debt would place the Club in a significant cash positive position. This would enable it to invest in its core business of football operations and infrastructure.
This is your chance to give back to the Club that has given so much to you!
You can lodge funds directly through the Australian Sports Foundation where all donations are tax deductible. The Australian Sports Foundation partner with grassroots and community organisations right through to national levels to help raise funds for vital projects such as this one - a project that will help improve the Glenelg community.
Donors can also lodge funds direct with the club which will be deposited into the separate ‘Save the Tigers’ account, with the balance being transferred to the offset capital debt as at October 31, 2016.
