HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM A RENEWING MEMBER?
Any 2017 member that purchases a membership for the 2017 season is considered to be a renewing member. All other 2017 members are defined as new members or lapsed members.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY MEMBERSHIP PACK?
Fulfilment of 2017 membership packs is yet to be confirmed.
HOW WILL MEMBER SEATS BE ALLOCATED IN 2016?
The Club has consolidated some seating to create a members area in the Edward Rix Stand.
2017 members will have the first opportunity to retain seating they held for the 2016 season or nearby. To keep a reserved seat, your membership renewal must be received by the club no later than 31st of December clearly nominating to retain the same seat.
The Edward Rix stand is a member’s only stand and by presenting your membership card on home match days you will gain access to the stand free of charge. However if you would like to reserve a seat you can do so for $30 per season.
HOW CAN I MAKE SURE I AM ALLOCATED SEATS WITH MY FRIENDS?
If you wish to sit with specific members or if you are introducing new members you would like to sit with, all forms must be received together for processing purposes. Please be sure to include any seating preference you may have with your application.
Please be sure to note any seating preferences when completing your membership application. Although every effort will be made to fulfil your request, new seat requests are processed in order of submission date. If your preference is unavailable, you will be seated in the best available seat at time of processing.
WHAT IS A VALID CONCESSION?
Holders of a current Pension Card (aged, single parent or disability) or Veteran Affairs Card are eligible, as well as students who hold a full time Student Card for 2017. Please notify the club of your concession type and relevant card number on application to avoid any delays in receiving your 2017 membership.
All concession home match ticket or season ticket members must have identification available for presentation upon entry on match day and when requested whilst at the ground.
DOES MY MEMBERSHIP GRANT ME ENTRY TO AWAY GAMES?
If you have purchased a season Membership you will be able to attend both home games at Gliderol Stadium and all Away Matches.
IS POSTAGE INCLUDED IN MY MEMBERSHIP IF I NEED IT POSTED OUT?
Yes, we cover any postage costs for your membership.
WHY HAVEN’T I RECEIVED MY MEMBERSHIP?
There are many factors at the start of a season as to why you may not have your membership in your hands. We receive our home match and season tickets from the SANFL, so there may be a hold up with us receiving these. Also, there may be a delay from our supplier of the membership packs. Please call 8294 5333 for any questions you might have and for an accurate postage date should you need it.

In an effort to improve Glenelg Football Clubs communication with members, the club is aiming to collect as many email addresses as possible in 2017. The Glenelg Football Club was founded in 1920 and since then has been an integral part of the local community. Nearly every family who has lived in the City of Holdfast Bay area would have a connection with someone who has played for or been a part of our great club. It has also been the breeding ground for many SANFL and AFL football greats.
We are a club that has always held its head high, especially since the late 1960’s when we rose to be one of the SANFL powerhouses. Big crowds here at the Bay and countless major round appearances made us a leader in the SANFL competition.
A club is built not only on its on-field successes but on the way that it presents itself. We have a strong vision to be the leading community club in South Australia. We pride ourselves on developing young football talent. And of course we aim to be a consistent premiership contender at league level.
We would like to offer our passionate and dedicated supporters a platform for them to play a part in ensuring that the club continues to move forward as it strives for ultimate success. This can be done by making a bequest to our Club.
Your bequest will help to ensure that the club can achieve its goals of providing opportunities to the youth of our area to develop and succeed, and ensure the greater community continue to enjoy the magnificent facilities that we fortunately are able to offer.
A bequest is a gift that is made through a will. A will is a legal document that determines how your assets will be distributed after your death. If you do not have a Will then you may lose control of who receives an interest in your estate. You can make a bequest in the form of specific dollar amounts, property, a percentage of the estate, or all or a portion of what remains after you have provided for your family. After making provision for your family, you may wish to make a bequest to the Glenelg Football Club.
An example of bequest wording is set out below, but it should only be used as a guide for you as you should always get expert independent advice from your solicitor as the exact wording will depend upon the type of bequest you wish to make.
"I……………………………….give and bequeath unto the Glenelg Football Club Incorporated ABN 94 586 591 721 ("Club") of Brighton Road, Glenelg East South Australia 5045, the sum of $...........................(cash) and/or ……….% of my total estate (% of estate) and/or the residue of my estate (residue) and/or (specific description of property, shares, furniture, works of art etc), (personal property) free of all duties or other taxes, whether State or Federal to be used for the general purposes of the Club, and a receipt of the Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being of the Club shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for my executor(s)".
