Darren Reeves was appointed Senior Coach of Glenelg Football Club in December 2022. Reeves has undertaken a variety of coaching roles over the past 13 years, culminating in his most recent role at North Adelaide Football Club which incorporates Senior Midfield Coach, Senior Assistant Coach and Reserves Coach. Reeves brings a wealth of experience at State League level, having coached the NT Thunder for two seasons as well as having coached the U18 Centre of Excellence program at the Central District Football Club.

Lexia Edwards was appointed the Women’s Senior Coach of Glenelg Football Club in July 2022. She boasts an impressive playing and coaching resume on top of her Bachelor of Human Movement and qualifications as a PE teacher.

First stepping onto the scene in 2017 as GFCW player #2, Edwards played 15 games and was Glenelg’s leading goal kicker in 2018 with 11 goals. A hard-working player and dominant presence on the field, Edwards was nominated vice captain in 2018 alongside captain Cass Hartley.

After hanging up the footy boots, Edwards remained in the GFCW program as a forward line assistant, while also taking on the responsibility of head coach for the Under 17 GFC development program.

In 2020, Edwards made the move to Queensland to coach the QAFLW side and Yeronga Football Club, along with undertaking a coaching role with the Brisbane Lions Girls Academy. During this time, she was also the head coach of the Narangba Valley State High School AFL Academy program.
