Nick Chigwidden President  13.02.2013 to present.

Nick Chigwidden  new president and will do a great job in receiving the baton from Gary Metcalf.

Inducted into the Glenelg Football Club Hall of Fame, Nick Chigwidden's career at the Club includes playing 293 games between 1987-2000, holding the record for the longest serving Captain for the Club (1993-2000) and winning 4 consecutive Best & Fairest medals in 1991-1994. Chigwidden has been awarded Player Life Member status for the Glenelg Football Club and the SANFL. Chigwidden holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) is currently the Sales Manager at FiveAA and is also a Director of PhysioXtra.





Simon Angove (Deputy Chairman - Finance Director)

Simon returned to Adelaide in 2002 after 7 years in various management positions for CSR Ltd, in both Brisbane and Sydney. With a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, Simon is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Le Messurier Timber & Building Products . Simon played for Glenelg from 1985-1995 and was part of the 1990 night Grand Final Premiership win.



Rob Mullarvey (Chairman of Footballers Club)

Rob Mullarvey has a back ground in the Gaming Industry that extends over 25 years. He has been in management positions at a number of NSW Clubs and was heavily involved in the introduction of gaming into SA. Rob runs his own company - Independent Gaming Analysis, which provides service and gaming analysis to over 150 clubs and hotels with some 3500 machines in South Australia.



Gary King (Chairman of Vice Presidents)

Gary King has a background in the retail furniture and bedding manufacturing industry.

Being born in Queensland, Gary was transferred by his then current company Sealy of Australia Bedding Company,as State Manager to establish a marketing\manufacturing plant in South Australia which grew from himself to employing 40 staff.

Now with his wife Keryn Brown, he assists running the family furniture and bedding business of Bernard & Keryn Brown Furnishers.

Gary was made a Life Member of the South Australian Furniture Industry Oak Club, where he was elected Presidentand served 13 years on Committee.

Having been involved with Glenelg Football Club for 27 years Gary has taken a more active roll in the past 10 years. Gary was elected Chairman of Vice Presidents in October 2009.



Justin Scripps (Football Director)

A former player of the Club from 1995  - 1999, Justin has also previously undertaken coaching support roles at Reserve and League levels, since retiring. Justin has completed a Bachelor of Education, is a qualified Workplace Trainer and Assessor and currently owns Australian Training Alliance, a Registered Training Organisation specialising in the mining and commercial cleaning sectors, recruitment and employment preparation services for job seekers. He is also a member of the State Executive of the peak commercial cleaning industry body in Australia, the BSCAA.

With business interests operating in a highly regulated corporate environment, Justin’s expertise lies in risk management, people management and strategic planning. He is also passionate about nurturing a culture of best practice and securing sustained, long term success for the Glenelg Football Club.

John Kavanagh

John holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and has been practising as a commercial lawyer, specialising in infrastructure, construction and development law, as well as dispute resolution and corporate law disputes for over 15 years. John is a partner in the Adelaide office of Hunt & Hunt Lawyers, who are a full service national commercial law firm with offices across Australia. John is a member of the Law Society of South Australia and is a passionate and lifelong supporter of the Glenelg Football Club.
