PROUDLY BROUGHT TO YOU BY CONCEPT DATA
While every game is important, our Round 11 clash with the Norwood Football Club had a little extra attached. After a bump in the road last week, some injuries across the group, and a Norwood team that is going far better than the ladder position suggests, it was and turned out to be a tough assignment that we are really pleased to walk away from with the 2 points.
Our Reserves group began the day in strong fashion playing an exciting offensive brand right from the first bounce. They were quickly able to put score board pressure on and had the game in control from qtr time onwards. Built of excellent energy around contest and setting the ground up well defensively, they were able to move the ball really well and create strong scoring opportunities often. Also coming off a little setback last week it was a great performance right across the group. Well done to all.
Pleasingly we were able to start strongly in the League game also. We certainly felt we were able to play the game how we wanted it to look for most part of the first half. Our young, inexperienced, and under sized defensive group were doing a fantastic job against a forward line has has some serious talent, our midfield were looking lively, and we were able to get ourselves to a lead a few times. To Norwood’s credit they continued to come at us and keep themselves well and truly in the contest and looked to have some control themselves at different times. Our group are very good at responding and finding a way to win more often than not and our last quarter was very strong with the game there to be won. So much to like in that win, our team defence across the day was very good, our offence at times was exciting and when it mattered our midfield took control and had the game going our way. Credit to the group for their desire to play strong roles across the ground. We move onto next week with a really important win under our belts
Round 12 will see us head over to Richmond Oval and a clash with West Adelaide. Our thought process, as with every week, will be how can we find ways to improve. We will get stuck into our work through the week and look forward to playing a strong Bay’s brand of football on Saturday arvo. Look forward to all of our supporters heading along and supporting us like you continue to do week after week. We certainly appreciate it immensely.
