Adelaide Green Homes, new major sponsor of the Glenelg Football Club, strive to create comfortable, liveable, homes through the use of sustainable building practices, and thoughtful designs. We’d like to introduce you to the Adelaide Green Homes team, starting with Director Daniel Morton!
Who are you and who are Adelaide Green Homes?
Daniel Morton, Director of Adelaide Green Homes, a custom home builder dedicated to creating sustainable, energy-efficient homes, tailored to the way South Australians live!
What brought you to Glenelg Footy Club?
Initially, it was the connection through my brother-in-law Daniel from Wishart Jewellers — long-time supporters of the club — that led me to reach out. But on reflection, I found myself thinking about my own upbringing in a country town, and how important football clubs are to the fabric of a community.
At Adelaide Green Homes, we strive to be a company that is integrated with, and respected by, the community — so supporting the club felt like a natural and meaningful fit.

What inspired the creation of Adelaide Green Homes?
At Adelaide Green Homes, our goal is simple — to create homes that are comfortable to live in, thoughtfully designed for the way you live, and built to reduce energy use and lower power bills. By incorporating passive design principles, quality materials, and sustainable building practices, we ensure each home is as efficient as it is beautiful. We believe your home should feel good to be in — naturally warm in winter, cool in summer, and kind on the environment (and your wallet).
Because building smart is not just about the future — it’s about how you live today.
What’s been your proudest moment as a business so far?
We’re incredibly proud to have been awarded People’s Choice Australian Home of the Year at the 2025 HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards.
This recognition means so much to our team — not only as builders, but as passionate advocates for sustainable, thoughtfully designed homes. Being voted by the public makes this honour even more special.
Tell us something surprising about you or your business!
I originally had a plumbing company, but after doing some work for my uncle, he introduced me to property — specifically, building new homes on old blocks. That experience sparked something, and from there, the business grew organically.
We started out developing homes to sell, and as people saw our work, they began asking us to build custom homes for them. That demand shaped the direction of the business, and it has grown steadily ever since.
How does the team celebrate wins – on site or off?
We have always believed that good food and great company are at the heart of a strong team. Whether it is a casual lunch or a group catch-up after a big project, these moments bring us together and keep our culture grounded and connected.
Favourite football memory (club-related or not)?
Being at the AFL Grand Final when the Bulldogs won! The energy, the emotion, and the history made — an unforgettable moment to witness live.
