The coaches and captains have had their say ahead of the 2025 Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final on Sunday.
Sturt’s Marty Mattner – seeking to win his third flag and the club’s first since 2017 – confirmed he is considering an unchanged line-up to confront Glenelg at Adelaide Oval from 2.30pm, with his team well-rested after winning the Second Semi-Final.
Double Blues midfielder Jared Dakin, who is poised to overcome a groin complaint, will be strongly considered for inclusion in the League team, with a spot in the Reserves Grand Final also an option.
Glenelg’s Darren Reeves – also chasing his third premiership in his third season at the Bay – confirmed 2023 premiership skipper Max Proud won’t be available after sustaining broken ribs and a punctured lung in a collision with Norwood’s Jackson Callow in the Preliminary Final.
This will force the reigning premier into making at least one change to its line-up, with defenders Beau Symonds and Liam Wisdom the leading candidates to replace Proud in the backline.
Tune in to the full press conference below, where captains Tom Lewis (Sturt) and Liam McBean (Glenelg) also preview the big clash at Adelaide Oval.
