Five Glenelg players and three support staff showed off their class in the NAB AFLW All-Stars Match at Thebarton Oval last Friday September 11th.
#12 Tessa Kohn and Assistant Coach Ang Moritz celebrated a win with Team Marinoff, while #5 Brooke Tonon, #2 Grace Duffy, #3 Madisyn Freeman and #12 Tamsyn Morriss donned the Team Hatchard guernsey, guided by Team Manager Kerryn Morriss and Assistant Coach Tammy Scott.
Brooke Tonon played particularly well, booting two goals out of Team Hatchard’s three goals, while Tamsyn Morriss was named amongst the best players for the team.
The All-Stars match featured 48 of the best players from the Statewide Super Women’s League and provided a stage for the women to demonstrate their skills in light of the approaching AFLW Draft on Tuesday October 6.
Prior to the All-Stars match, eight GFC Junior Girls also participated in the U16 Female Next Generation Academies clash between Crows and Power.
#10 Sarah Goodwin, #11 Annabelle Harris, #12 Eleanor Larosa, #16 Lauren Williams, #22 Amara Sheide, #24 Laura Sargent, #25 Matilda Scholz and #28 Kayla Robran all represented Crows in the contest.
