David was appointed President in 2023 after Peter Carey stepped down from the position.

David has a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) and is also a Certified Practising Accountant, holding a senior management position at Deloitte from 1994-1997.

David was a senior executive at Whelancare from 1997, including CEO from 2003 – 2015.  He played an integral role overseeing its acquisition by Japara Healthcare in 2015. David is a Director of PMY Group Board, theSomerton Surf Club Board and a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart College School Council. He also had 23 years in community football as a player, coach and administrator at Goodwood Saints Football Club and Sacred Heart Old Collegians Football Club.

A Glenelg man through and through, Peter Carey has celebrated a glorious career with the club both on and off the field. He currently holds the South Australian record of 448 league games between 1971 and 1988, as well as three best and fairest awards with the Tigers and three premierships. 1973 was a particularly stellar year for Peter, as he not only topped the club’s goal kicking ladder with 70 goals but kicked six of these in the famous Grand Final win over North Adelaide.

Peter has thrived in many leadership positions over the years, including captain from 1983 – 1988 and Club President from 2020 – 2022. Now, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his role as board member.

Inducted into the Glenelg Football Club Hall of Fame, Nick Chigwidden’s career at the Club includes playing 293 games between 1987 – 2000, holding the record for the longest serving Captain for the Club (1993 -2000) and winning four consecutive Best & Fairest medals in 1991 – 1994. Chigwidden has been awarded Player Life Member status for the Glenelg Football Club and the SANFL.

Chigwidden holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) is currently a Director of PhysioXtra.

Nick was elevated to a “Great of Glenelg” in 2019, following the Club’s Premiership success.

Rob is the former managing director of Thirsty Camel bottle-shops. After operating his own retail businesses and spending some time in the gaming industry, Rob moved into the liquor and hospitality industry where he spent some 30 years. His skills in strategic planning, business development and financial controls was fundamental in the establishment and success of the Thirsty Camel franchise brand, which now has over 60 retail liquor outlets.

Rob has lived in Glenelg and been a member of the football club for 28 years. Even though his wife Maree and his four sons and grandsons are his highest priority in life, Rob really wants to contribute to the local community and to the future success of the Glenelg Football Club.

Teri is a lawyer actively practicing since September 2010 in state and local government, namely the Department for Environment & Water, South Australia Police, the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption and most recently the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.

Teri is now in the private sector with Norman Waterhouse Lawyers where she specialises in public law and governance. In addition, Teri works with the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) as an Integrity Officer, which involves investigating alleged breaches of the SANFL community football regulations in areas outside of Glenelg’s catchment zone.

Teri has been on the Glenelg Football Club since 2021 exercising her legal and governance skills. As part of her role on the Board she is the Player Advocate for the Glenelg Football Club for all football leagues, where she represents players at the SANFL tribunal. Teri is also the Alternate League Director for the Club, where she represents the Club at the SANFL Commission Meetings when required. Considering Teri’s legal and governance background, Teri also sits on the Club’s Governance Committee.

Dion Moroney is a long serving Director of leading SA and NT accounting, taxation and business advisory firm Letcher Moroney. Dion has been a resident in the Glenelg community for some time, been heavily involved with Sacred Heart Old Collegians Football Club for many years and brings a wealth of financial expertise.

For several years, Lorraine has been supporting the Club’s leadership development strategy and has been integral in building the capability of our players, coaches and key leaders. Lorraine currently heads up the University of Adelaide’s MBA Online program and has extensive expertise in large scale leadership roles including holding positions as CEO, national operations, national sales and marketing, corporate HR as well as Chairing a board.

Claire has worked in a range of senior media and communication positions across various sectors including as a journalist, as well as in Federal politics, state government, and the corporate sector. Currently the Senior Manager Media and Communications at a South Australian top-20 ASX company, Claire has expertise in delivering media and communication strategies, crisis media management, public relations, stakeholder engagement, and social media management.

Claire holds a Master of Communications (Public Relations) from Deakin University, as well as a Bachelor of International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) from the University of Adelaide. Having grown up in the area, Claire attended Sacred Heart Senior College and has been a strong supporter of the Bays for many years.
