Matthew Uebergang has advised the Club he will be retiring from SANFL Footy.
Matthew Uebergang leaves Glenelg as a Premiership player and well-respected footballer and leader. Matthew grew up in Queesland and joined the Tigers in 2018 from Peel Thunder/Fremantle. In his time he’s racked up 24 games, 10 goals and has been nominated twice into the leadership group in 2019 and 2020.
Unfortunately, Uebergang has been hit with numerous injuries which saw him out for the season in 2020 and play just one Reserves game in 2021. However, his dedication to the playing squad and his contributions to the club over the past two years have been valuable.
The Club thanks Matt and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
