The countdown is on for the biggest day on the 2023 Hostplus SANFL League calendar with dates locked in for what promises to be another blockbuster finals series.
The 2023 Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 2.30pm and will be the culmination of a four-week Finals Series to be played at Adelaide Oval starting with the Elimination and Qualifying Finals double-header on Sunday, September 3 from 12.15pm.
And for those unable to make it to Adelaide Oval, all League matches will be broadcast on Channel 7, 1629 SEN SA and live streamed on SANFL Now and the official AFL App ensuring anyone, anywhere and at any time, can enjoy the post-season program.
Tickets to all finals will be frozen at 2022 prices. Children U/18 are free.
SANFL Executive General Manager Football Matt Duldig said another close regular season has set the scene for what should be an entertaining finals campaign.
“We’ve been blown away by the level of support from fans to the 2023 Hostplus SANFL League home-and-away season and we’d love to see that support continue across the Finals Series and into the Grand Final,” he said.
“Crowds are up 14 per cent year-on-year, with 172,162 spectators watching the League competition to date, and that result has been in part to SANFL, clubs and our corporate partners working tirelessly to deliver the ultimate fan and gameday experience.
“These efforts will shift into another gear over the finals campaign with an action-packed calendar of off-field entertainment to add to the excitement; and we look forward to sharing some exciting news about the Grand Final entertainment program soon.”
Off-field SANFL Super Match activations and entertainment for weeks 1-3 of the Finals Series include: AAMI Chillout Zone (beach chairs, bean bags), McDonald’s inflatables and giveaways, SANFL footy inflatables, Hostplus Goal Cards, Coles Mini League games and giant outdoor lawn games.
The first round of finals on September 3 coincides with Father’s Day and there will be some special events on for Dad, including free haircuts thanks to Attaboy Barbers.
Glenelg, Sturt and Adelaide have locked in a post-season berth with Central District, North Adelaide and Port Adelaide vying for the final two spots with two rounds to go.
Last year, 27,459 fans attended the thrilling Grand Final between North Adelaide and Norwood.
Tickets for all finals – except for the Grand Final – are on sale from 2pm on Friday via Ticketek. Tickets also will be available for sale on match day at the gate.
