Glenelg Football Club is pleased to welcome versatile defender Nick Stevens in season 2024.
Known for his impressive pace, strong decision-making and ability to play a number of roles, Stevens is a valuable addition to the Tigers’ defence.
The classy ball user arrives at the Bay after stints with Geelong and North Melbourne’s VFL sides. First taken by the Cats with pick 47 in the 2020 AFL Draft, Stevens played 21 VFL games for Geelong across two years. Delisted at the end of season 2022, Stevens then landed at Arden Street as a top up player for North Melbourne’s VFL side.
Now, the 21-year-old is ready for a new venture within the SANFL competition.
“What attracted me to Glenelg was the tradition and culture of the club and the professional environment. After catching up with Reeva and Liam, I felt the club aligns with my personal values,” he said.
“I am looking forward to a new opportunity and meeting a bunch of new boys and playing at a high standard of footy.”
Stevens spent his junior career with the Greater Western Victorian Rebels and Geelong Grammar.
