The SANFL is pleased to announce a new multi-year partnership extension with KommunityTV which will see live streaming coverage of SANFL Talent pathways and National Pharmacies SANFL Juniors finals in 2024.
The exclusive coverage on News Corp’s digital sports streaming platform commences in the coming weeks, starting with the SA Under 18 State Team’s first hit out against a combined Greater Western Sydney and Sydney Swans academies team at Thebarton Oval on Sunday May 12.
This will be followed up with the live streaming of the SA Under 18s’ second trial match against the SA Under 20s on Saturday May 18. This match will feature a host of 2024 AFL Draft prospects across both teams, with the Under 20s featuring the ‘young guns’ of the Hostplus SANFL League and Reserves.
KommunityTV’s exclusive coverage of SANFL will extend across female elite youth talent in 2024, featuring a live stream of the 2024 SA Under 18 Girls team versus the SA Under 23 representative state team in late July. The under 18 Girls will be on the hunt for their third consecutive national title win, having claimed the AFL National Championships in 2022 and 2023.
Also exclusively streamed on KommunityTV in 2024 will be every match from the SANFL Intra-State Youth Carnivals in the July and October school holidays.
These three-day carnivals are an integral part of SANFL Club talent pathways, with the most talented mid-teen boys and girls from each SANFL Club metropolitan and country zone.
In addition to the SANFL talent pathways coverage, all 2024 National Pharmacies SANFL Juniors preliminary finals matches will once again be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV. Every Grand Final across all age-groups will be streamed across both KommunityTV and SANFL Now.
SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said the News Corp digital streaming partnership had provided a new level of reach and exposure for SANFL’s teenage rising stars.
“On the back of the success of last year’s streaming partnership between SANFL and KommunityTV, we are thrilled to once again have the opportunity to showcase the State’s best under-age players to the nation,” Mr Chandler said.
“In addition, we will have over 80 National Pharmacies SANFL Juniors finals streamed over two weekends in August/September, providing outstanding exposure for community clubs and partners.”

News Sport Network managing director Michael Wilkins said KommunityTV was excited to partner with the SANFL to promote the future guns of the game.
“After a successful partnership which shone a light on the best up-and-coming juniors in South Australia last season, we’re pleased to be adding to that coverage again in 2024,” Wilkins said.
“While our cameras will still capture the best new talent in the SANFL junior finals series later this year, as well as the final preparation for South Australia’s Under-18s nationals squad, we will also give footy fans a glimpse of future AFLW stars from the region.
“The inclusion of the girls Under-18 intrastate clash with the SA Under-23 women’s side will provide opportunity for footy fans across South Australia and beyond to connect with the next generation of talent.
“South Australia has a proud production line of quality Aussie rules players, and KommunityTV can’t wait to shine a spotlight on the competitions that are fostering them.”
