2022 Torrens University Cup Final Series announced

The SANFL has today confirmed the three-week Final Series fixture for the U16 and U18 Torrens University Cup boys leagues, headlined by the historic double header Grand Final at Adelaide Oval on Friday, September 16.

This will be the first time both elite under-age grand finals are showcased as a double header following the expansion this year of the U16 Torrens University Cup to a full season, in line with the U18s.

The home and away season concluded last weekend, with Norwood’s Under-18s claiming the minor premiership on percentage ahead of North Adelaide. They were closely followed by Glenelg in 3^rd place and Sturt in 4^th.

The Tigers narrowly took top honours in the U16s in another tight finish to the season, ahead of South Adelaide, Woodville West Torrens and North Adelaide.

The Finals Series kicks off on Saturday, September 3 with the Elimination and Qualifying Finals for both age groups. This weekend is a bye round to allow all boys competing in college Intercol games to be available for their SANFL Club for all Finals.

All Torrens University Cup finals will be streamed live and on-demand on SANFL Now. Both Grand Finals and other selected finals matches also will be live streamed on The Advertiser’s KommunityTV platform.
