The athleticism of talented Glenelg midfielder Piper Window was on full display at the South Australian AFLW Draft Combine, held on Saturday, October 14.
Window topped the testing in the 20 Metre Sprint with a time of 3.261 seconds, and claimed honours in the Agility Test with a time of 8.45 seconds.
Earlier in the combine, Window placed third in both the Standing Vertical Jump (53cm) and Running Vertical Jump (64cm), highlighting her all-round capabilities.
The impressive results capped off a terrific year for Window, who won the SANFLW Best and Fairest award after a standout season in the black and gold.
Central District’s Elaine Grigg led all-comers in the 2km Time Trial, crossing the line in seven minutes and 59 seconds at Bridgestone Athletics Centre.
The exciting Bulldog got out to an early lead, then finished strongly to win the endurance event.
South Adelaide’s Alissa Brook also put her best foot forward by winning the Vertical Jump (58cm) and placing second in both the Running Vertical Jump (72cm) and 20 Metre Sprint
(3.289 seconds).
Her Panthers teammate Brooke Boileau finished third in both the Agility Test (8.629) and 2km Time Trial (8 minutes and two seconds) and Woodville-West Torrens prospect Shineah Goody won the Running Vertical Jump by reaching a height of 74cm.
