2023 Women’s Leadership Group Announced

The Glenelg Football Club is pleased to announce its 2023 GFCW Leadership Group, with Ellie Kellock and Sam Franson joining forces as co-captains. 

They’ll be supported by the experienced Chelsea Packer and first-time leaders Alice Bradley and Ellen Tyminski, alongside young leader Madi Freeman.

New head coach Lexia Edwards said she is extremely confident in this strong six-women group.

“Ellie and Sam are very different people, but together they make a really good representation of what it means to lead Glenelg – really playing with passion and pride and genuine care for the playing group, which is most important to me as a coach,” she said.

“There are people who have been in the leadership group for a while and some girls are new, but I know this group will 100% lead us in the right direction.”

The SANFLW season kicks off February 18 against West Adelaide. Trial games are being held on Friday January 27 and Friday February 3.
