Glenelg Football Club Announces 2025 Leadership Group
The Glenelg Football Club is excited to announce the leadership group that will push the Bays hunt for a history-making season 2025.
Liam McBean will return to the Bay as Captain for season 2025, after a monumental year as premiership captain and Jack Oatey medallist in 2024. Coach Darren Reeves admires McBean’s leadership abilities. “While his success on the field and the way he performed in that role last year were at an elite level, his ability to lead our group on a day-to-day basis is his biggest strength. He continues to strive for improvement in all areas,” Reeves said.
Matthew Allen will continue as Vice-Captain this year, a credit to his leadership growth over the last 12-months. McBean and Allen have a lasting legacy as leaders within the Glenelg Football Club and we are excited to see what they bring to the season ahead.
Corey Lyons, Luke Reynolds, and Alex Martini, key leaders for Glenelg, will continue their leadership roles within the group. Each brings unique qualities to the team, and all three remain committed to developing and expanding their leadership skills. They will continue to represent the Bays with pride.
Our leadership group is rounded out with two exciting additions to the team, Jonty Scharenberg and James Bell. Both have produced incredible leadership development in recent years, and the Glenelg Football Club is excited to have them as critical members of the group.
Coach Darren Reeves, is excited to see the team navigate the challenges ahead in season 2025.
