Glenelg Football Club’s catchment zone reigns supreme in regional South Australia

South East claim victory at the THINK! Road Safety South Australian Men’s Country Championships against Southern Districts.

Glenelg Football Club’s catchment zone, South East, defeated Southern Districts in Port Pirie over the weekend. In an undefeated streak, the team – lead by ex-Glenelg player Todd Reid and co-captain Zac Richards – secured the Championship for the first time since 2022.

The talent from the Bays’ catchment zone was in full strength across the 2-day carnival, with multiple South East talent recognised for their efforts in addition to the overall title.

  • Bill Murdoch Medal (Coach of the Championships) – Daron McElroy
  • Leading Goalkicker – Fraser Bradley 9 goals
  • SA Power Networks Leadership Award – Todd Reid

Our South East women’s team narrowly missed the Championship title, defeated by Eastern in a two-goal grand final.
