Club Honours Premiership Players in Changerooms

The Glenelg Football Club is proud to honour its Premiership Players in the player changerooms, with every Premiership Player now having their name feature under their locker number.

Historically, the changerooms have only showcased the names of players that have played 100 games for the Club.

CEO Justin Scripps is extremely excited about the initiative, and hopes it leaves a lasting legacy for the Club.

“Of all the initiatives we’re mobilising in our Centenary year, this is the one that I’m most proud of. Not only does it recognise the contribution of all those that have played in our premierships, but it’s another project that will help build our culture and inspire our next generation of young kids to achieve the ultimate team success,” he said.

The Club currently has 82 premiership players, with an extra 38 of these players’ names now being placed on the lockers. The four premiership coaches have also been honoured in the changerooms.

The GFC team were particularly thrilled to launch and celebrate this initiative with a group of Premiership players and coaches, dating from 1973 to 2019, at the ANZAC Round 4 Clash between Glenelg and Port Adelaide.
