It’s with great pleasure to announce that at last night’s Board meeting, Claire Hammond was appointed to the Glenelg Football Club Board as a Board Elected Director.
Claire has worked in a range of senior media and communication positions across various sectors including as a journalist, as well as in Federal politics, state government, and the corporate sector. Currently the Senior Manager Media and Communications at a South Australian top-20 ASX company, Claire has expertise in delivering media and communication strategies, crisis media management, public relations, stakeholder engagement, and social media management.
Claire holds a Master of Communications (Public Relations) from Deakin University, as well as a Bachelor of International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) from the University of Adelaide. Having grown up in the area, Claire attended Sacred Heart Senior College and has been a strong supporter of the Bays for many years.
Claire’s skillset will be a great asset for the Club and compliment the diverse expertise that the Club is fortunate to have access to. We wish Claire all the best in her new role.
