The SANFL is pleased to announce a new multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) for the SANFL state leagues.
The new agreement will see Powerade continue as official sports hydration partner of the SANFL and sponsor of the Powerade Breakthrough Player award for the most outstanding rising talent in the Hostplus SANFL League and Women’s League.
CCEP will also continue to provide refreshments to crowds as the official non-alcoholic beverage supplier across all SANFL Clubs.
The Powerade brand will again feature this season at SANFL Super Matches, a new initiative introduced in 2023 to provide a gameday experience with a festival atmosphere for footy fans of all ages at selected marquee matches.
SANFL CEO Darren Chandler said SANFL’s longstanding relationship with Coca-Cola dates back more than 50 years and that the League was proud to today have CCEP continue its support for football in South Australia.
“Coca-Cola Europacific Partners have been a long-term premier partner of SANFL and its support of the Powerade Breakthrough Player award and other initiatives is demonstrative of its commitment to state league and grassroots football in SA,” Mr Chandler said.

Since 2007, the Powerade Breakthrough Player award has recognised and rewarded the most brilliant emerging stars in SANFL football.
The award sees one player nominated after every minor round of both the men’s and women’s League, with a weekly prize pack for nominees and the overall winner earning a prize of $1,000 at the season’s end. Nominees must be aged 23 or under and have played no more than 10 SANFL games at the start of the year.
The 2024 Powerade Breakthrough Player award winner in the Hostplus SANFL League was West Adelaide prolific ball-winner Kobe Ryan who had a standout debut season for the Bloods.
Rising star Piper Window, drafted from Glenelg to Port Adelaide in the AFLW Draft in December, was the winner of the SANFLW Powerade Breakthrough Player award, in addition to being crowned 2023 Best and Fairest winner for the competition.
CCEP State Business Manager, Luis Nevares said:
“CCEP has a rich history of supporting community and sports organisations, and we are excited to once again partner with the SANFL for a multi-year agreement.
“We aim to be more than just a sponsor and we’re proud of the long-standing partnership we have built with the SANFL through a variety of initiatives, particularly supporting young, up and coming players through the Powerade Breakthrough Player award.”
