Jarryd Lyons Signs with Glenelg Football Club for 2025.
Glenelg Football Club is excited to announce the signing of former AFL midfielder Jarryd Lyons for the 2025 season. Lyons, who has played over 150 AFL games with Adelaide, Gold Coast, and Brisbane, is returning to the SANFL to represent the Bays, bringing a wealth of experience to the club.
Lyons expressed his excitement about the move, stating, “I’m excited to be back to, in a way, where it all began. The family touch is also a huge plus, and I can’t wait to run out with Corey in an official game for the first time. Looking forward to getting after winning the club’s third premiership in a row.”
Lyons will join his younger brother Corey Lyons, further adding to the strong family ties at Glenelg. Head coach Darren Reeves couldn’t be happier with the addition to the team.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Jarryd at the Bays in 2025,” said Reeves. “He brings great experience, still playing outstanding football, and will be a great addition to our playing group both on and off the field. It will be great to see him playing with Corey also.”
With Lyons set to pull on the black and gold, Glenelg continues to bolster its squad as it aims for a historic third consecutive premiership.
