One goal in mind for Ellen’s 50th game

By ZAC MILBANK

Aside from a victory, only one thing could top off Ellen Tyminski’s 50-game milestone celebration on Saturday – kicking a goal.

Glenelg’s reliable premiership defender is yet to register a major since making her Hostplus SANFLW League debut in Round 4 of 2020.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 28-year-old admitted she has copped plenty of grief from her teammates as a result.

But on the flip side, they also greatly appreciate the consistent role she has played in the Tigers’ recent success, including the club’s breakthrough SANFLW flag in 2021.

Starting her footy journey with powerhouse Morphettville Park in 2019, Tyminski said she initially fell in love with Australian Football while playing in London three years earlier.

And it was this love of the game which as fostered a relationship with dual Bays premiership player Darcy Bailey, who has been a huge support for Tyminski.

Bailey will be among a throng of Tyminski’s family and friends set to cheer her on in her milestone match against North Adelaide at Prospect on Saturday.
