Each week we are challenged by a particular area of our game that doesn’t reach the standard we set or that is required to compete at Development level. Against Centrals, I thought our effort at the contest, particularly in the first half, was well below expectations and it proved costly at the end of the game.
The final margin was 37 points, however with a young squad, we continue to look for positives and signs of development. I thought that Cooper Horsnell, Finn Betterman and Tyler McPherson had solid performances. Riley Carter and Beau McRae show continual improvement with more exposure they get at this level.
What was pleasing was that there was enough quality ball movement to assure us that we are not far away from returning to our best football.
Consistency over four quarters presents as the biggest challenge for our group.
