Glenelg Football Club is pleased to announce that Russell Veenvliet has been appointed the new Reserves coach.
Russell is a respected coach in the football community and highly regarded by his players, having coached Flagstaff Hill Football Club to two A-grade premierships in the past three years.
Head of Football Paul Sandercock said the football department was impressed with his presentation and history, and they’re confident in his ability to develop the Reserves program.
“Russell was well prepared and clearly has a passion for coaching. He’s looking to improve and to continue to learn as a coach, so we’re excited to have him onboard. He’s committed to the club and is building a great rapport with Brett Hand and the other coaches,” Sandercock said.
Off field, Russell is the General Manager (Central & Southern Australia) for Defend Fire, who offer fire protection and system solutions to commercial properties.
Congratulations Russell and welcome to the Glenelg Football Club family!
