SANFL Appeals Tribunal: Gould penalty reduced

Wednesday, October 9

Glenelg’s Will Gould has had a three-match penalty for rough conduct during the 2024 Grand Final reduced to two matches following last night’s hearing before the SANFL Appeals Tribunal.

SANFL Appeals Commissioner The Hon Michael David KC deemed a two-match sanction as the appropriate penalty for Gould’s rough conduct on Norwood’s Finn Heard in the SANFL Grand Final at Adelaide Oval on September 22.

Gould was found guilty by the SANFL Tribunal panel on October 1 but appealed this decision.

He will be unavailable for selection for the first two minor rounds of the 2025 season.
