SANFLW Round 1 Team Selections

Our teams are in and we are set for a thrilling open to the Hostplus SANFLW 2023 season.

With the return of former tiger Lexia Edwards to the Bay as Women’s Senior Coach and an exciting and intense pre-season, the Bays are looking to start season 2023 with a bang.

Coach Edwards has selected a strong starting line-up for the clash against West Adelaide, with an array of new and old faces donning the black and gold. Devoted Tigers Ellie Kellock and Sam Franson will take the field as Co-captains for the coming year, alongside players from their 2021 SANFLW Premiership co-hort: Brooke Tonon, Piper Window, Tessa Kohn, Madisyn Freeman, Ellen Tyminski, Alice Bradley, Caitlyn Swanson and Laura Chigwidden.

The Bays also welcome a selection of debutants to Hisense Stadium for the Round 1 clash: Andi Moliere (Nightcliff Tigers), Serena Waters (basketball), Rani Grant (Gunnedah Bulldogs), Matilda Wilmore (GFC Junior).

Saturday’s game commemorates Caitlyn Swanson’s 50th SANFLW league game, a feat only 2 Tigers have reached before her.
