SANFLW Round 6 Team Selections 2024

Round 6 teams have landed with the GFC Women aiming to reset.

With the AFLW listed players requiring to cease any SANFLW commitments due to the upcoming season, our Tiger Women are aiming to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Panthers in Round 5.

Round 6 boasts a debutant in Jo Miller, who has displayed a strong sense of footy throughout the Reserves comp and will be a welcome addition into the League side. Unfortunately this comes off the back of Ellen Tyminski being a late out due to illness.

The Reserves women also come off a loss in Round 5, however in playing their Round 2 rescheduled match against Sturt (in which they were victorious), they still have a sense of team and a hunger to win. The loss of AFLW listed players also gives more of our women’s squad the opportunity to represent the Bays for the first time, with the likes of Ella Gill, Mackenzie O’Dea, Sheridan Howell, and Kendall Howell being named for the first time this season.

There are many ways you can support the GFCW squads this season, the most crucial being a GFCW Member or Sponsor for season 2024. Your membership will help support our premiership winning women’s program and provide vital funds towards our development program.
