Joel Tucker has informed the Club he will be stepping away from his role as Reserves coach to focus more on family and personal commitments.
While Tucks has spent just two years at the helm, his impact has been profound. In 2021 – his first year as coach – he guided the Reserves to their first premiership win since 2009. In 2022, the Reserves finished 5th and made the first round of finals.
Joel has been a Tiger faithful for decades, both as a past player and devoted supporter, and was extremely grateful for the opportunity to coach at the Bay.
“To be involved down here for the past two years – it’s just living the dream. I thank the Club for giving me this opportuity,” Joel said.
“I feel like I’m coming out of this as a better person and a better coach, so that’s a great reflection of the people involved in the Club. And to play a small part in the players’ journeys has been very important to me.”
The Club wishes Joel all the very best and looks forward to seeing him around the place in 2023.
