The Glenelg Club Job Vacancies – Sous Chef & Apprentice Chef

The Glenelg Club is home of the Bay’s Biggest Backyard! We have an extremely passionate, dedicated, and focused team of chefs and culinary superstars who genuinely LOVE what they do and always strive to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. We endeavour to use locally grown produce, products and supplies wherever possible.

 

Sous Chef – The Glenelg Club

The Glenelg Club is currently seeking the services of an experienced / qualified sous chef to assist in the day-to-day operations at The Glenelg Club.

An ability to work over a seven day roster, including weekends, is a must, with our bistro open for lunch and dinner 364 days a year.

Excellent salary and conditions available for the right person.

What we’re looking for:

· Great food knowledge and relevant qualifications / experience with working in the kitchen

· Experience managing staff in chef’s absence

· Ability to show initiative and efficiency in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to work calmy under pressure

· Great time management, organisation and punctuality

· A great work ethos and can-do attitude

· Experience with functions isn’t necessary but an advantage

· Flexibility to work over a seven-day roster

Apprentice Chef – The Glenelg Club

The Glenelg Club is currently looking for its next culinary superstar! This job would be best suited to a recent school leaver or someone looking to kickstart their career in the food/culinary industry.

Experience isn’t necessary – all you need is a great attitude, calm manner and a willingness to learn!

What we’re looking for:

· An interest in cooking and food

· Ability to work over a seven day roster

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· A great attitude

· Willingness to learn

· Someone who isn’t afraid of hard work!
