Tigers sign Giants Academy player Mackinley Miller

Giants Academy player Mackinley Miller is heading to the Bay in 2023.

Miller has spent the past two years with GWS, making his VFL debut in Round 18 v Carlton before being selected again in Round 20 against Essendon. He was also named in the U19 Giants Academy leadership group for 2022.

Locally, Miller is a key player for the Belconnen Magpies First Grade side and featured in the 2o22 AFL Canberra grand final against the Queanbeyan Tigers. At 190cm tall, Miller is predominantly a forward but can also be played down back.

Miller said he is excited to make the move to Glenelg and join the SANFL competition.

“I’ve heard a lot about the Tigers’ history, the big crowds and the great culture. I can’t wait to get to know everyone at the club and experience life at the Bay. I hear it’s a bit different to Canberra!” he said.

The club is excited to see what impact Macca will have with the Tigers next year!
