VALE BRIAN ROBINSON

 

Glenelg Football Club is in mourning after long-time, highly-respected volunteer and life member Brian Robinson passed away on Friday, March 29. He was 77.

 

A hard-working and generous member of the Tigers family Brian could be relied on to put up his hand to help out whenever possible over 26 years as a valued volunteer.
The AJ Wadham Club Person of the Year award winner for 2014, Brian first volunteered at Glenelg in 1995 when he was runner for the development squad.

 

A passionate and dedicated Glenelg man he held many roles within the club including being emergency driver, a statistician, property steward, reserves team manager and league team manager. He earned a merit award in 2016 and two years later was made a Glenelg Football Club life member.

 

He and his wife Kaye continued to be popular regulars at the club in recent years and their son Craig played 37 league games for the Tigers between 1998-2003 and is Glenelg player No. 834.

 

Brian is survived by Kaye, their daughter Michelle, Craig and four grandchildren.

 

The GFC Board, management, staff, players and volunteers extend their deepest condolences to the Robinson family.
