Jasmin Stewart – SANFLW Mini-Draft

Glenelg Football Club are proud to welcome Jasmin Stewart following the 2024 SANFLW Mini-Draft.

As per SANFL Women’s Competition Rules, All Players who are selected by Adelaide Football Club or Port Adelaide Football Club to play in the AFLW, but are not already aligned to a Club will be available for selection by a Club in the SANFLW Mini-Draft. Six players were eligible for selection in 2024.

Jasmin joins the Tigers from Port Adelaide Football Club, with our GFCW team selecting her at pick #4 in the Mini-Draft. Stewart comes from AFLW experience, playing for Fremantle from 2020-2022. She moved across to PAFC in the 2023 supplementary draft, playing 10 games throughout the season.

Stewart comes to the Bays known to be a “tackle machine with a weapon left foot”, understanding how to win her own ball. She is a proud Jaru woman originally hailing from WA, and loves to go back as often as she can.

Although her games may be limited with our Women’s squad due to AFLW commitments, GFCW Football Operations Manager Rod Jameson and Head Coach Lexia Edwards are confident she will be an asset to the team. “Jasmin, as a person and player, was our preferred selection,” Jameson explains. “Just a gem of a person” describes Edwards, positive about her character and ability to contribute to the squad on a personal level.

Welcome to the Tiger Family, Jasmin!
