Former Eagle Connor McLeod joins the Bays

Connor McLeod has left the Eagles nest and flown to the Bay for season 2023.

McLeod played four League games for Woodville-West Torrens at the backend of this season, making his debut in Round 14 against Port Adelaide following a string of standout performances in the reserves side.

Coach Brett Hand is thrilled to welcome the new recruit, seeing great potential in the 23-year old.

“He’s a versatile player that has come to us to add to our mid and defence. He shows some great class, is highly-skilled and loves to run and carry the footy,” Hand said.

The 2020 reserves premiership player previously spent four seasons in the Eagles reserves side after coming up through the junior ranks. Now, McLeod is eager for the opportunity to progress in his footy career.

“I came here for the opportunity. I’ve been impressed with Brett Hand, his work and his development of players, so I’m looking forward to continuing to grow as a footy player,” he said.

“I’m really, really excited to be here and get started. Glenelg Oval is one of my favourite grounds to play at, so to play on it every week will be great.”

Connor is the son of dual Norm Smith Medallist and Crows premiership player Andrew McLeod.

The Club wishes Connor all the best for 2023.
